Before the pandemic, MCDS faculty and staff members had the special opportunity of meeting a single mom and her twos son at their home in Novato. Transitioning out of homelessness and crisis, theirs is an extraordinary story of hope and resilience. MCDS faculty/staff sponsored this family and gathered the furniture and housewares that they needed to make their empty house a home on "welcoming day" in April, 2019; with another family in July, 2020; and a third in May, 2023. We are working with another family this spring, with a move-in day of May 11, 2024. Watch this space for more information about household items and furniture needed in the next few weeks!
